Old Oak

I pissed away a fair amount of the morning and waited until this afternoon to get motivated and do something. Last night I conjured up an idea about building us a new coffee table, not that there's anything wrong with ours, I just wanted to build a new one. So, off the the wood store I went. I came home with some stuff and built this little table. I dig it, just needs some stain and it'll be ready for the east wing of the LYDF mansion.

Make It Sprinkle!

homemade copper garden sprinkler DIY

I made a flower garden sprinkler for Her today because she didn't have one and I thought she should. Plus I wanted her to come home to something kind of cool. Plus I like building things. Plus just because.
Making simple fun things like this is incredibly relaxing for me, I'll more than likely make more, bigger and better ones.

"But with the throttle screwed on there is only the barest margin and no room for mistakes. It has to be done right...and that's when the strange music starts, when you stretch your luck so far that the fear becomes exhilaration and vibrates along your arms..."

Lean, Mean, Weed Killing Machine

Yay or Nay?

I can't make a decision on this fairing thing I'm making. I need help. Comment and let me know your thoughts...

Lock It Down

We went up north this weekend to my family's place with the intention of a couple of days of R&R. Little did she know I had my own agenda as well....
That's right, I popped THE question and after much deliberation she agreed. (I'm kidding, she enthusiastically said yes right away)
So, I'm pumped to say that some time next year (late spring/early summer) she'll be my Mrs.and all will be right with the world. Thanks to all the people we've told so far and the support they've shown.
When you find the right chick you gotta lock it down!

"Every Corner Was A Smile On My Face"

In no particular order, here's loads of pictures from an excellent weekend riding in Northern MN. We camped by a buddy's parents' place, shot loads of guns, rode our bikes across the state to my family's place and rode some of the best roads in this glorious state in perfect weather. Couldn't have been any better.

A huge thanks again to Troy, Greg, Ben, Nick and Tony for coming along and making it what it was. Also, thanks to the hospitality of Ben's family and the rad friends we've made over the years in Tower.
